Attendance

The Mark is a private, members-only club and as such only card-carrying members and their guests may attend. Members may invite guests (as many as you feel comfortable being personally responsible for), and sponsor memberships. When members expecting guests arrive, they should alert the door-keeper to add their guests' names to the night’s official guest list. Guests cannot enter the Gallery unless they are on the guest list AND the member inviting them is present to vouch for them personally, so it is best if guests arrive with or after the members who invited them.

In addition, nobody under the age of 19 is allowed inside The Mark for any reason and access to the Gallery is prohibited to those who have not signed the consent form when scenes are in progress or expected .

Membership

There are two classifications of membership. New members enter as associate members for a period of six months and will be extended the offer of regular membership once completing the probationary period without incident. In addition to inviting guests, membership offers discounts on events, the ability to pay membership dues and entry fees using check, reciprocal membership with sister clubs, entry to our members-only e-group, voting privileges, and other perks. Regular members are granted additional voting rights.

Along with completing the required membership form and signing a consent form, the potential new member must supply the name of a sponsoring regular member who will vouch for their character. If no such person is available, references or a personal interview are sought so that someone on the membership committee's interview board may feel comfortable enough to offer sponsorship. (This is neither an automatic process nor a hazing ritual, but serves as an important firewall for the security of our membership.)

All records kept at The Mark include only scene names.  Cross-references to real names and signed paperwork are removed nightly and reside outside the state of Tennessee.

Fees

The fee structure at The Mark is as follows... Membership Fees: $30/six-months or $600/lifetime; and Entry Fees: Members - $15, Guests - $20; (Benevolent members in good standing also have two additional options for payment of entry fees: $60/month for unlimited monthly member access and $600/year for unlimited annual member access.)  Renewals may be accomplished via PayPal using the payment address of “donations @ themarkbycpi.com” (without the spaces, of course.)  Please include an extra dollar per six-month renewal to cover our PayPal costs and include your member number, if possible, to make doubly sure we credit the correct person!

Reciprocal Membership Agreements

CPI has entered into an agreement with both IMPACT in Memphis and 1763 in Atlanta to honor each other’s memberships and, thus, add to their value.  These agreements allow any card-bearing member of one group all the perks and privileges of membership in the other group when traveling to Memphis or Atlanta.  More information on IMPACT can be found at their website at http://www.ImpactHome.com and 1763’s webspace can be found at http://www.1763.net.  [Those running similar facilities should contact us if interested in setting up a reciprocity agreement with CPI/The Mark.]

Hours of Operation

Unless otherwise posted, The Mark is open every Friday and Saturday night from 8:00 p.m. (9:00 p.m. from Memorial Day through Labor Day) until 2:00 a.m. Arrive early and you risk sitting in your car until the door-keeper arrives to open. Arrive after midnight and you will not be allowed to enter the Gallery. Everyone should plan to leave by 2:00 a.m. unless you have made prior arrangements and have the permission of the Manager on Duty.

Dress Code

Fetish dress is encouraged to enhance the social experience for all, but is not mandatory.  (Fetish attire includes, but is not limited to: leather, latex, rubber, PVC, metal, formal, glam, drag, uniform, costuming, etc.)  We ask that you not wear flip-flops, gym shoes, baseball caps, etc… when in doubt, wear black!  If you have questions as to what is or is not appropriate, please ask.

Miscellaneous

No food is allowed in the Gallery, when play is allowed, unless medically necessary or prudent.  Beverages are allowed, but only in non-glass containers.  Please be careful where you place your beverages and remember to pick-up after yourself.

Smoking is allowed only in the designated smoking area on the east side of the building, somewhat shielded from the elements by the building and from passers-by by parked cars. Please use the ashcan provided and keep the area clean.

During larger events, those members arriving earlier in the night should try to park at the top of the parking lot if at all possible and leave the lower spaces to first-time guests, out-of-towners, and those who could benefit from a shorter walk. All are welcome to drop-off riders and bags first before moving their car higher on the hill and we are happy to escort anyone to and from their car for whatever reason, should they ask.
